1976 FLH bobber. This bike started out as a bone stock low mileage Electra Glide. The engine is 1200cc and it’s got the stock four speed transmission equipped with a hydraulic clutch with kickstart. The electric start has been finicky, most likely a loose wire but it kicks over just fine. The engine and transmission have been gone through and have a clean bill of health.
The frame was converted to a rigid with ’48 style cast axle plates to keep the original frame and engine numbers matching, keeping the title and registration process clean. It’s currently registered as a 1976 flh with no funny business. I designed the bike and it was turned into a reality by a premier motorcycle shop in NH.
The bike won a “Wicked Pissah Bike” trophy at the 2011 Greasebag Bike Show in Laconia New Hampshire and several small ride in shows.
The throttle and clutch are internal through the custom stainless handlebars keeping everything clean. If you know what you’re looking at you can see there are MANY hours of custom fabrication work and lots of attention to detail. All lines are aircraft grade high pressure lines and fittings. The stainless steel exhaust was custom made with stainless cocktail shakers and feature spring quick disconnects for easy removal and service very similar to a sport bike. Ultra bright led turn signals and horn function properly.
The primary is an open chain drive topped off with a custom cut outer primary cover. All wiring except the plug wires are vintage style cloth covered. The bike was properly shaken down. I chose not to cover any of the fabrication and beautiful welds with paint and powdercoat. This bike sports a coating of Gibbs oil for protection.
The forks are off a late model big twin for better (any) rebound dampening and brake setup. Juice brakes in the rear and disc brakes up front. Both brakes are operated by the foot pedal connecting two custom master cylinders and a proportioning valve.
There are no cheap or junk parts on this bike. If you’re close, I’d encourage an in person inspection. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements. The bike and title don’t go anywhere until payment clears.
Thanks very much for looking.
